Embracing AI and Mixed Media: A Summer of Creative Exploration
This summer has reignited my creativity in ways I didn’t expect. The most exciting part? Embracing AI and mixed media. I’ve been using AI to bring to life concepts that would have been impossible to achieve before, and it’s completely transformed my creative process. Diving into this new technology has been a thrill, and instead of shying away from it, I’ve fully embraced it, sparking a whole new artistic journey.
Highlight: Talent Shoots and Exciting Collaborations
One of the highlights of the summer was working with Laura Whitmore for a collaboration between Wear the Walls and Choose Love. It was fast-paced, vibrant, and full of energy, and I loved every minute of it. We had limited time to shoot a lot of imagery, but the colors, the team, and the vibrancy of the project made it truly special.
I’ve also got a few other talent shoots lined up for October that I can’t wait to share. Working with such amazing talent this summer has been a real privilege, and I’m excited to see what the next few months bring.
Challenges and Balance: Weddings and Work
Summer brought not just creative projects, but also personal commitments. I was travelling for friends’ weddings, and balancing that with my work was a challenge. Finding the time to stay on top of my shoots and business while also being present for my friends was a juggling act, but one I’m glad I took on. It was tough but so much fun!
A New Creative Direction: Learning and Experimenting
Creatively, I feel like I’m on the cusp of something new. I’ve been learning new skills—graphic design, painting, and mixed media techniques—that I’m excited to incorporate into my upcoming editorials and commercial shoots. These new skills are going to bring an entirely new level of artistry to my work, and I can’t wait to explore that further.
I’m in what I like to call my “art school kid era”—and this summer has shown me that I’m ready to bring more artistic depth to my work. It’s about stepping into a new phase where creativity shines in everything I do.
Favourite Summer Shoots: Nature and Colour Theory
A standout shoot this summer include a project for Haya Magazine focused on hiking. I spend so much time walking in nature, so it was an absolute joy to bring that passion into my photography. It felt like a perfect blend of my personal and professional worlds.
Business Updates: Licensing on Kintzing
Finally, I’m thrilled to announce that my work is now available for licensing on Kintzing. This has been such a fun addition to my business, and I’m looking forward to seeing how this new venture unfolds!
