Gardelina
In early September I broke my right wrist. Not ideal for a fashion photographer! I was pretty much out of action for 6 full weeks. So when I began to feel better enough (and strong enough) to hold a camera in my hand, all I wanted to do was shoot. something. I had a couple of hours free before my scheduled visit to the Tim Walker exhibition at that V&A (gorgeous, by the way), so decided to book in a quick test with one of my favourite model agencies: The Hive.
Gardelina and I met outside Knightsbridge station, and pretty much just wondered around looking for pretty backdrops and gorgeous light. I’d seen some work by Emily Soto, one of my favourite NYC based photographers, and felt incredibly inspired by it. This was my take on what she had done in NYC.
Shot entirely on Kodak Portra 160 35mm film with my Nikon F100, we did these on a chilly October morning. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
